My Notes: This was drawn for the hp_creatures's Halloween Fest. And it's stunning, the colours are so vivid, the scales on Draco's tail are beautiful, actually, this whole piece is gorgeous. This is the sort of art I'd love to have hanging on my wall. It's amazing.

Title: Vipers are not cute, Potter by iwao

Summary: Inspired by dysonrules's Hissy Fit. (If you haven't read this story, srly, what are you waiting for???)
My Notes: iwao is one of my favourites artists, so I'm probably going to rec every single one of her arts. But this one is particular is amazing. You have to see Harry's pose. It's called "lance torero". Bullfighters do it to challenge the bull, and it's dead sexy. Oh my God, the way Harry's arm and hand is curved just so, and of course, there's Draco as a snake wrapped around Harry's cock. So yeah, it's delicious.

My Notes: This is a multi-panel art, and it's all about Harry going again and again to Draco's bookshop to buy books he doesn't even need. It's cute, and funny, and the drawing is lovely, their hair, their clothing, their sheepish expressions on their faces… it's adorable.

Summary: Harry doesn't want to think about Teddy that way, but Teddy is nothing if not persuasive.

My Notes: I love Teddy/Harry, and this fic comes with a bit of a twist. The thing is, once Harry starts thinking about Teddy in *certain* way, he can't stop; Teddy is not going to let him. It's not only hot (so hot!), Teddy's characterisation is amazing! God! Teddy is so confident and flirty, he knows what he wants, and knows how to get it too. Poor Harry, never stood a chance. XD But don't feel bad for him, he's loving every second of it.

My Notes: If I ever asked you anything, I ask you again, just click on the link and read. Written for hp_silencio. It's such a powerful story. You're going to start reading it and it's going to grip you. The language, the prose, the characterisations, they are just so original. Harry is a Chosen Boy, this means he can bear child, get pregnant, and this is incredibly rate; it's a gift. And once he finds his fiancé he thinks his life will finally begin, but at first his life is nothing like he imagined. It really takes you to a different universe. It's one of my favourites by Natt.

Title: A Different Fate by lordhellebore
Rating: PG
Pairing: Gen, Petunia Dursley/Remus Lupin
Word Count: 6,500 Approx.
Summary: AU: JKR portrays Harry as completely unaffected by the Killing Curse cast at him. But how would things have gone if it had been different?

My Notes: Oh my god, the feels this story gives are going to squeeze your heart and make it ache. But it's lovely. It's such a different portray of Petunia, one that I fell in love with, because Harry here is so, so loved, so cared for, and even if the story this fic is telling is very angsty (Harry has a disability here), you will feel warmth in your heart.

Title: Another...and another...and, fuck it, just leave me the bottle. by bryoneybrynn
Rating: PG 13
Pairing: Harry, Draco, and Albus Severus/Scorpius
Word Count: 1,200 Approx.
Summary: When Draco is early picking up Scorpius from the Potter's house, he has no idea what he's in for.
My Notes: This story is hilarious! It's as the summary says, Draco came early to pick up Scorpius from the Potters, and finds him and Al in a very compromising position. Yeah, of that sort. Role playing as himself and Harry, and his reaction, Draco's, is simply priceless (as is his reaction to Harry's reactions!).

Title: Do I Dare to Eat a Peach? by traintracks

Pairing: Harry/Teddy
Word Count: 7,600
Summary: In which Harry is having a mid-life crisis and Teddy is just having a crisis.
Kinkys/Theme Chosen: sex clubs
My Notes: This fic is not only seriously hot, but I love how Harry is written here, perfectly flawed, aware of himself, of his flaws, and then there Teddy, acting bratty and being cheeky, until you understand what's going on. You will feel for them at the beginning, but as the story unfolds you'll get to the scorching hot sex, the misunderstanding and the happiness. It's amazing!


H/D ART:

Title: Afterglow by iwao
Rating: NC 17 Not Safe For Work!
Pairing: Harry/Draco
My Notes: Gah! Have you seen it yet? You have to see this! This is such a beautiful piece, it shows Harry and Draco in the Afterglow, but god, the details about it, they are all gorgeous. Their hands, the peaceful the way they are sitting so close, how loving it is. And then there are Harry's bits. They are magnificent, okay? I could wax poetic about them, and I did! But I rather you get enthralled by them yourself. :D

And finally, did you read the latest episode at hd_level_two (which is here by the way ^^)? OMG!!! Read it because that thing we've been waiting for all season finally happened! And it's brilliant! And the art...beautiful and lovely as ever. The artist spoil us. :)

Ever since eidheann_writes made her post about The Formation of head-canon, I've been thinking about it and wanting to do my own post.

The thing is, like hers, my head-canon is very fluid.

I do have my own personal ideas of how Harry and Draco are, they would act and even look, but the bottom line is, if a story is well written, I enjoy it even if I don't fundamentally believe Harry and Draco grew up to be that way, you know?

I like not having a specific, clear-cut, precise headcanon for Harry and Draco. I feel it gives me liberty to enjoy different characterisations of them and love them because of the story I'm being told.

So, for the most part, I tend to believe Harry and Draco are this way or that way, except when I don't.

The shading, the way their bodies are drawn, so expressive and sensual. I've stared at this piece for ages, taking in details, their hands, Draco's hands are so lovely. You know how fics describe Draco having beautiful hands? These are the hands all those stories are talking about. And then there are all those other things; the pose, the way Harry's body is leaning back against Draco, their chests. Yeah, I could talk about this piece forever, and trust me, I will! I saw an older couple, they must have been in their late 60s or something and it made me so happy. I could perfectly imagine me as them, visiting the park in 30 years time and remembering everything.

I bought too much stuff, and I had too much fun, and I can't wait to go again when the new part is done. Hey, maybe we could organise a huge meetup then. It's in two years or so, plenty of time to plan. :D Yes, I'm hopeful we're all going to still be here together. <3

I fill them to the best of my ability and consciously, but then I get these weird results and I start wondering if I filled them honestly.

Maybe I fill them thinking that's how I should be, or how I think people see me, or maybe I think I'm filling them honestly when I'm really going Eeny, meeny, miny, moe in my head.

The only quiz result I ever got and I could see was when I took this crazy "What number are you?" Quiz and I got a big "You Are Number 1!" And I admit I was peeved when they congratulated me for having everything to be forever alone. Meep.

Writers, artists, they come here not thinking about what they'll get, but eager to give; to give us stories, images, they give us their talent, all for the love we all share for this fandom, this universe and characters that are so much part of our lives, feel as real as the very people we go to sleep at night or share our day-to-day life out there with.

So yeah, it wasn't about me (though, please, I beg you, give me a moment to bask in the warm feeling that, yeah, it kind of was) but the bottom line is, to be reminded, about what fandom means in our lives, the friendships we've made and the happiness we find when we share that love.

Notes: This story is as the summary says, Al and Scorpius found dirty memories of Harry and Draco and, well, of course it affected them. And by that I mean it made them hot as hell (as they will do you). It's really fun, and a whole lot of naughty to see them trying to act normal around each other (and failing) and then finally facing that the memories made them realise it's each other they want. Oh, sweet, and hot. And the art is to die for; in the best of ways. Also, the art on this fic is Not Safe For Work! Yum!

Don't let the warnings turn you off or make you think it's story might be too hardcore; it is in a way, but it's not so much about the actions (punishment and discipline), but about how Harry and Scorpius feel about Domination and submission. It's about them as a couple, as Dom/sub, their reactions, and it's incredible; it's erotic, to see Scorpius needs and Harry's desires fulfilled this way. The way they give each other exactly what the other need. And this is the beginning of such relationship, so everything is new; exciting and thrilling, and absolutely brilliant. It's not an overwhelming sort of story at all, but rather the sort of story that leaves you craving for more.

This is the sort of story that makes me what to read new pairings. One that (shockingly) I haven't read much of is Draco/Albus. Anyone have recs for this pairing for me? Not necessarily BDSM fics, just anything that you'd recommend. I'd love to read some.

Draco must have done something really good in his previous life because after the excruciating pain of his veela transformation that must've ended with him being dead, the angel that picked him up was a very fine and delicious looking bloke - who suspiciously looked a lot like Potter.

A lot has been said about commenting, specially that people are doing it less these days, which makes me sad because it's not only fun, but I think it's important, too; to let someone know, who took time and effort to share something with the fandom, that you enjoyed their work.

Sometimes commenting doesn't come easily, but it doesn't have to be complicated either. So I wrote a list, a sort of step-by-step guide I go through when I do it.

I wrote this for fun. I admit, I don't religiously follow each and every one of these steps, but on the whole, this is how I basically go about writing a comment.

Like I said, all for fun. The lovely eidheann_writes corrected my mistakes (and seriously, isn't she the loveliest thing on the planet?), but lets not blame her for the content. That's all my fault.

In other news, Jesus, it's cold. I know most of you are enjoying a lovely summer but it's freezing here. Well, freezing for my standards (10˚ Celsius or 50˚ Fahrenheit), which is ridiculous for me because on an average day, not even summer, the temperature here is 30˚C, so yeah, 10˚ should be illegal, OKAY? Coldest day of the year, though if forecasts are to be believed, next week will be even colder. God.. And it's rainy, too. Grr.

Gah. So.
