New words this week : 7,448 words which is up a little from last week. Writing is still a struggle, but I think I'm getting back on track.

WIPs worked on this week : 1, with no new WIPs (yay!)

And I managed to keep my focus to a single fic. Life is still full of nonsense, I'm still exhausted, but at least the words are coming a little easier than they have been recently. I'll take the win.

The Old Guard

food truck au : 7,448 words which brings the total to 126,207 words and the first half of the smutty chapter is written! I think it's probably going to be it's own chapter, because it's 12k, but I want to write chapters 11 and 12 entirely before I make a final decision on where to break them up. I hope it'll work okay as three chapters. I'm once again worrying over how long this fucking thing is going to end up being.

I keep forgetting to post about this: we've been troubleshooting the "missing notifications" problem for the past few days. (Well, I say "we", really I mean Mark and Robby; I'm just the amanuensis.) It's been one of those annoying loops of "find a logical explanation for what could be causing the problem, fix that thing, observe that the problem gets better for some people but doesn't go away completely, go back to step one and start again", sigh.

Mark is hauling out the heavy debugging ordinance to try to find the root cause. Once he's done building all the extra logging tools he needs, he'll comment to this entry. After he does, if you find a comment that should have gone to your inbox and sent an email notification but didn't, leave him a link to the comment that should have sent the notification, as long as the comment itself was made after Mark says he's collecting them. (I'd wait and post this after he gets the debug code in but I need to go to sleep and he's not sure how long it will take!)

We're sorry about the hassle! Irregular/sporadic issues like this are really hard to troubleshoot because it's impossible to know if they're fixed or if they're just not happening while you're looking. With luck, this will give us enough information to figure out the root cause for real this time.

Dear Author,

Thank you so much for writing for me! I'm really excited to see what you come up with.

This letter contains a list of Likes and DNWs as well as a couple of prompts. If none of the prompts catch your eye, then write whatever you like. As long as it doesn't hit any of my DNWs, we're good.

Thank you for reading this letter. If none of the prompts here appeal, please feel free to write anything that you want to, and as long as it doesn't include any of my DNWs, I'll be delighted to receive it.

I can't wait to read what you create for me!

New words this week : 4,039 words which is down from last week. Writing's been a struggle.

WIPs worked on this week : 4, with no new WIPs (yay!)

...and once again it was a many-wip week. In the past couple of days I've been sort of feeling like I'm getting back on track, but it's been a process. I'm so tired, y'all.

The Old Guard

food truck au : 2,361 words which brings the total to 118,759 words and think I've finally broken through what I needed to get past. Back on track, and hoping to get this next chapter to my beta by the end of the week. We're finally at the smutty part!!

werewolf au : 281 words which brings the total to 14,526 words and the doc was open so I just kept poking at it a little bit.

old kingdom au : 939 words which brings the total to 16,996 words and I was talking about this with someone who started shouting at me in all-caps about it. I'm still giddy over the fact that there's someone out there who is excited about this concept.

early days pwp : 458 words which brings the total to 4,295 words and this one's not really coming together either. I'm taking a pause on it for the moment.
