Happy Friday the 13th!

And it comes with lots of good news.

First, the new HP movie. Oh, God, the excitement! New canon! New characters! I can't even articulate properly why this makes me so excited. It just does. XD

Is anyone else operating under the assumption he's going to have a hot rival? Or kick ass sidekick? XD

And then! I'm going to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! NEXT WEEK. I think I'm using caps locks backwards, here. ^^

I'm leaving next Wednesday (at 3AM—horrors!) and coming back the 29th. I'm going to miss the

hd_tropes's end of fest & reveals and

hd_fan_fair's start. But I really can't complain, what with me being at Hogwarts and Hogsmeade, yeah?

Still! My internet access will be limited, so any of my prompts gets posted while I'm away, please, please, please tell the author I'm not around?

Part of me is all "aw but I wanted Founders" but more HP is for the good.

I understand why they picked it... I picture it being a comedy Indiana Jones meets Crocodile Hunter Brendan Frasier in the Mummy thing. But maybe that is me.

(Does not speak to headcanon, just what I picture them *actually* doing.

As far as HP wishes go, the Encyclopaedia is first on my list. But GOD! This is real, and it's happening! I'm beyond excited.

Hard to say, really, since JKR is writing the script. I don't picture it like that. But then, I don't have a pre idea of how it's going to go, I just ~~know~~ hope it's going to be magical. My little fangirl heart is filled with joy. <3

Me too! I've been talking about this with everybody since yesterday around here. But then, mostly I've been trying to explain that no, it's not a sequel, and no, Harry and Ron and Hermione are not going to be part of this new movie. :P

From what I understand from other posts that I've seen (sorry I can't remember where? maybe vaysh? or gamma? I'll have to go look!) - but it's been figured that he'll be really young... 18-21 based on the timelines that we know?

Here's hoping for a brilliant casting and a hot rival too! Hoorah!

I'm not that interested in new canon revealed in a film. Honestly, I'm not interested in new canon. I like the open-ness the books left us with. That's why I haven't joined Pottermore or looked at the spoilers. Of course, my partner will probably drag me to see it anyways...

And the image on the chocolate frog card makes me think of Newt Scamander/Horace Slughorn

Now that you mention it, it'll be weird to have canon from a movie. To me, canon is the books, the rest is... optional. lol

Now I feel awful for not writing to you and mentioning I was going to be close by. :((( But I wasn't going alone (a group of four) and we were working on a schedule, you know? Like every day planned and stuff and then off to Miami for the last few days. I'm such an asshole. I'm sorry, Tam. I should have mentioned even if I knew I wouldn't have been able to meet. We could have, I dunno, talk, or at least be aware of being closer. I'm so sorry. :(

Don't feel awful. I was sort of sad just because I couldn't imagine going to Brazil or Argentina and not BEGGING you to meet me along the way and yet...

But I got over it.

The park... wow, the park is amazing. It has such a Harry Potterish atmosphere, you know? And while a lot of people are just dressed like Muggles there's a lo of people dressed magical, and not just those who live (work) there, visitors. It's like a HP convention all the time. The candy shop is... I spent a whole hour there, and at the castle, and the attractions, the fly simulator and the dragon challenge and the Fly of the Hippogriff... it's just magical. I'm dying for meeting there with you. Other people don't enjoy it at the level we could. One day. ♥
