New layout, and a rec.

I changed the layout of

my_drarry_recs.

I really love the art I have as a header. It's Autumn by chouette_e @ deviantart (used with permission). And it's gorgeous.

I'm trying it out, because there are a few things I still need to tweak here and there, but I like it. What do you think? :)

I'm very fond of the the old one, and I'm not sure which is best for the comm, so I'd love to hear what you think.

Notes: Stories like this one is what makes me fall in love with a new pairing. Don't let the warnings turn you off or make you think it's story might be too hardcore; it is in a way, but it's not so much about the actions (punishment and discipline), but about how Harry and Scorpius feel about Domination and submission. It's about them as a couple, as Dom/sub, their reactions, and it's incredible; it's erotic, to see Scorpius needs and Harry's desires fulfilled this way. The way they give each other exactly what the other need. And this is the beginning of such relationship, so everything is new; exciting and thrilling, and absolutely brilliant. It's not an overwhelming sort of story at all, but rather the sort of story that leaves you craving for more.

This is the sort of story that makes me what to read new pairings. One that (shockingly) I haven't read much of is Draco/Albus. Anyone have recs for this pairing for me? Not necessarily BDSM fics, just anything that you'd recommend. I'd love to read some.

It's lovely, the new header, yeah? I tend to like more clean and simple layouts (like the old one) but I couldn't resist making a layout just to use that art after I had permission.

Thank you so much for this rec, it sounds absolutely lovely. Love your thoughts on it, and I'm definitely reading it. <3

I love cross gen even more than I like next gen and first gen (it all started with Harry/Scorpius). And Pottercest. I love me some Pottercest.

Yes, read Consequences of Truth!

And I've written some Dralbus (because I'm not ashamed to self rec *sighs*). Four fics + 2 arts are here. It should be mentioned that one of those fics comes with some very heavy warnings.

I hope you do like them. And the warnings are of the sensual dark horror variety. Remembrance is probably the most brutal piece I've written (although the two for the darkarts fest come close).

I hope you like the stuff from my rec journal! I can't remember exactly how many there are, but if I fell in love with it, there must have been a reason (and I may have explained that reason in a vaguely coherent fashion, I hope!). Enjoy!

I hope you like it. It really, truly, is pretty brutal (physically and emotionally). Tops the list of fics that I have written that I do not actually expect people to read. But it is also one of my absolute favorites that I have written.

It took me a while of reading fluff and flangst to start reading Dark stuff. I'm always trying to encourage other people to try it because some of the most heart-touching, stunning pieces I've read are dark.

Dark is HARD. Both to write and to read, but I have to admit, I've been doing both since I was a kid. I teethed on horror and my first short stories I ever wrote were horror (some came straight out of my nightmares and really revolved around some heavy issues of fearing loss). I also went through a phase when I was like... 9... where every book I read had someone dying. The bookmobile ladies were very worried about me, but when my mom asked I just explained that sometimes it feels good to cry. I learned the word catharsis at a very young age. *wry smile*

I love fluff, and I love romance, but I love something that will rip out my heart, and I find those last ones stay with me the longest after I've read them.

I've learned to love the ache that comes with reading heavy angst and dark fic.

I remember I used to hear things like "hurt so good" and for the life of me I couldn't see. lol Now I can, and I don't look back. I honestly believe some of the best pieces I've read are dark or heavy angst, and I want to share that, because, okay, sometimes a person can't, simply can't, deal with that as part of a hobby, but other times you just have to open yourself to that, and it's to those who can and would be willing to dive into I try to reach with recs/comments/etc.

Like I said, I tend to like clean & simple layouts, but once I gained permission to use her art I couldn't help making one with the header as the focus. So pretty. <3
