Game of Thrones tonight!
This waiting has been literally:

got6

Not that he's my favourite character, but that can be said about almost any character, basically.

I'm half, "Yes! It's finally here!" And half, "Oh God, what now?!"

I'm not sure what I'm hoping. I'm not sure I have hopes, even. What the hell is this show doing to me? ^^

But still, tonight, finally!

*lol* Who knows! Maybe it won't be AU. I mean, maybe they won't start with the plotline you're working on? Of course, I have no idea what your fic is about so--!!!

But yeah, I can see how everything is AU, who could stick with all that canon change? XD

I've never read any GoT fic. O.o I think that's definitely the next step. I'll wait for your fic. :)

I'm writing about Theon and Sansa ^^ What do you think of Theon?

And oooohhh, there is a whole WORLD of GoT/ASoIaF fic out there. Seriously, you are missing out. If you like, I can e-mail you with some pointers. I've got this favourite author who's just . . . well, I kind of stalk her AO3, tbh xD I've never fangirled an author like this in almost twelve years of fandom participation.

Oh, nice! I'd love to read about them, so much to explore. :)

I'm not sure what I think of Theon, mostly because I remember who he was and what he did and then I'm reminded all he's been through, conflicting emotions for sure. I think for the last couple of seasons, probably, I've felt something like compassion. It's complicated, as you can imagine.

You should definitely mail me directions where to start. I might not start right away, but I'm definitely interested. <333

I understand, yes. He is a difficult character to like - for most people, that is. Being me, of course I loved him the moment I realised what was happening in Season 2. I mean, his conflict is so, so understandable and obvious for me xD He was taken from Pyke when he was (in the show) eight years old, he spent the next nine years at Winterfell, and he's just no clue who he really is and who is family is. And Balon's and Yara's reaction is so horribly disappointing - nobody needs him at home, nobody's waiting for him. (In fact - and my favourite writer had to point this out to me - they were preparing for a war even BEFORE he came, although he was still the hostage of the Starks. Meaning: they didn't give a shit whether he lived or died.) He always imagined he'd come home eventually and inherit - now he has to realise nope, Balon has an heir, and nobody likes or trusts him, all the values he learnt during the last nine formative years of his life are regarded as rubbish here, and he needs to somehow fit in and impress Balon.

So he does something incredibly idiotic - and realises quite early on how idiotic that was. You know how I'm all for the characters who make horrible mistakes and then end up terribly tragic ;) They're complex and the best candidates for h/c.

Um. Anyway, enough of my soapbox lol. I'll mail you.

That's very, very much how I feel about him, too! You have to give that to him, he realised very soon the mistake he made and gods, how he paid. *nods*

I loved listening to you telling me this. Definitely helped to think more about this character. <3

Well, thank you for reading my ramblings ;) You know how I'm always one for trying to make people think about unpopular characters *g*

Also: Knowing some of his book canon helped me understand him even more. Let's just say it's worse than on the show, even. Idk how much you know about that.
