Uhm, I don't do it all the time, the fests exhaust me and scare the shit out of me, and when I see one I like I'm more like "Oh, no, down, writing urge, down you silly thing!" rather than "OMG; I can't wait, I'm so going to nail this thing!". So, yeah - I hear you!
*throws a pack of house-elves, specially trained to write stuff for panicking people into the express mail and adds Hermione Granger's newest best-seller: "Girl, you know you can!" for good measure.*
But seriously, you can! :) You write all the time and now you're only going to write about two characters you love best and what your imagination dictates rather than how many people drowned in the nearest river because of a heat wave. I'm sure those two have plenty to say to each other in your head! You can totally rock this! :)

I admire your bravery so much! I've thought about trying this myself a few times because I figured starting out with drabbles would be easier than going straight to a full fic. I always want to sign up, but I never do. I get all sick to my stomach at the thought of competitive writing. But I have no doubt that you will do just fine!!
