Hello (hello, hello...)

It has been quiet lately. Part of me thought maybe this was one of those self-fulfilling prophecies in which we're all quiet because it's been so quiet lately, or we're all talking about how quiet it's been instead of, you know, just talking. :D

But it has been quiet. *nods*

In my little fannish heart I want to believe everybody is so busy typing their fingers off and drawing their bums off that most aren't here, like I know indeed that's the case for some of you. I want to believe there's going to come a moment in which more or less at the same time everybody going to deliver their work/fic/art come here and talk and talk and fangirl and be all merry where fun will be had by all. :D

I know, I'm a dreamer. But come on, exciting things are happening!

cant talk much - typing my fingers raw with mpreg and rarefest!
but i couldnt refuse drizzle so signed up for that too xD
but after rare i'm totally up for more talking and pesting and sharing and exchanging
its late here, will head to bed soon too, so i only came by to say:

*bang* --> reference books falling down
*tappetid tappeta tappeti klick klick* --> typing as fast as i can
*evil swear words in the silence* --> some idea refuses to work out

so, you might not be hearing to much noise because it's all over with me

For me, it's the nicer weather. We had a lovely March, but the first 2.5 weeks of April were cold. Now it's nice again and I'm out more. When I have time, I'm walking, biking, and just enjoying the warm sunshine.

That's lovely! The weather had been much nicer lately here. Cooler, which is, um, 25-21C, much better than 35 of late. :)

I think it's like a coming down from the high of remix/flash fest/hurtfest and now DTH. When things are overwhelming, people do step back for a bit. It could have been it. Yes.

I've been trying to read and comment, but it feels that sometimes people get a bit quiet. It comes and goes. A couple of months ago, half my flist got sick at the same time, there are moments when everybody is talking at the same time, then everybody is quiet at the same time. It's a circle, but when it's quiet, it feels so sad, you know? But I *have* been seeing you around. :) *hugs*

Yes, yes, quiet and working on stuff. But you know that already. Just posted a thing to be less quite.

And yes, you need a tumblr. I still don't have a real knack of it, but it's fun nonetheless. A lot of shiny Harry/Draco art (just look at this by hibiscus) Or have you seen Alekina's tryptic? I'm sure Raitala posted the first two, but did you see Harry too?
Yes, lots of shiny things on tumblr. And even I (no pro at working her PC) can get rid of the stuff I don't want to see.

I haven't actually noticed that it's been quiet, which might say more about how little I've been able to spend time on LJ recently than anything else, lol :)

But I cling to LJ and HP fandom! There really isn't any alternative to this, well not for me at least. Tumblr is great for a lot of things, but not for others - and the place kind of stresses me out for some reason! I like the relaxed atmosphere over here better :)

I believe that this fandom and our boys are strong enough to keep going for a long time! At least a big part of me thinks so.
It was a bit sad, though, when I first joined LJ, I was part of a wonderful comm for original fiction. And then, within a few months, the place died. I couldn't believe how quickly it happened.
Thankfully, there are so many people who love this fandom and wants to keep it alive <3

Yeah, some communities start strong but then fade, sometimes very quickly, even! So sad. :(

But like you, I believe fandom is strong enough to keep going. Things do slow down once in a while, god, after all the holiday fests there's always a kind of set back, and it happens through the year, but we're still here. It's encouraging.

There's no other place for me. I'm not into tumblr, though I'm definitely going to try for real next, still, it's different, the interaction and bonding with people like it's here, it's very special, yeah? It's home in many ways. :)
