(Note: Not exactly what the prompt asked for but it has little!Draco who cries and throws a fit. It is his birthday, after all :D. Based on a true story. Not beta-ed.)

“Draco, darling, please be reasonable,” Narcissa pleaded, trying to reason with her son and avoid a re-occurrence of last year’s event.

“No!” Draco crossed his tiny arms and stamped his foot, highlighting just how much he didn’t want to be reasonable.

Lucius sighed and ignored the rising urge he was feeling to say “I told you so” to his wife. Instead he decided to try and make his son see sense; after all, there was no harm in trying, “Draco, this isn’t how Malfoy’s behave in public. Now listen to your mother and step away from the table.”

Draco narrowed his eyes, so like his mother’s, and glared at Lucius, “No! This is mine!”

Lucius was almost proud of his son, being so forceful and commanding at the age of five, like a true Malfoy, but the scene had carried on for long enough and Lucius was getting annoyed, “Draco Malfoy! You will step away from the table at once!” he ordered, his voice calm enough to not betray his emotions but he could tell that Draco understood just how serious he was.

Except, instead of moving away quietly and letting the party proceed, Draco stood there, staring at his father. Within a few seconds his lower lip had started wobbling and his tiny chest was heaving while he tried to stand still and glare at his father for ordering him to do something.

“Th – this is mine, I w – won’t share!” Draco kept his arms tightly crossed across his chest, his voice breaking as tears rolled down his cheeks.

Within seconds Narcissa was at his side, hugging her little boy to her chest as he held onto her and cried.

Lucius rolled his eyes and headed off to find himself a drink, it was the same as last year and he was pretty sure next year would be no different.

Meanwhile little Pansy Parkinson turned to smirk at her friend Blaise, “I told you so! You owe me a chocolate frog!”

Blaise ignored her and rubbed his stomach, staring hungrily at the magnificent five tiered birthday cake in the shape of a castle that was sitting prettily on the table behind Draco, “I vote that next year we cut the cake before he gets a chance to see it.”

Pansy giggled as Draco smirked at her from his mother’s shoulder, “I’d like to see you try. C’mon, you owe me a chocolate frog!”

This made me laugh out loud ... Draco, Pansy and Blaise prepared for Slytherin house still they was little.
