I'm sorry I'm giving you such a lame gift. In fact, it's not even a gift. It's more of a "gift", like an attempt at a gift, and why it ultimately failed. But since I'm obviously a masochist I'm going to show in detail this whole debacle. :D In fact, all the pictures can be made bigger by clicking on them.

I got in my head that I wanted to do an ~illustration~ of In the Company of a Rubber Duck. I had good intentions, honest! But – well, you'll see.

I had everything nearly ready. I had a great idea. Harry in the tub, with Draco talking to him and smitting him and it being cool and funny, but stuff happened. Look:

Seemed to go pretty OK, yeah? Well.

I ran into my first obstacle with Harry though. It turns out that action figures for children cannot be undressed -- which I suppose is a relief? But really, not very conducting for my project.

But hey, I'm nothing if not diligent and I figured I could make the ~bubbles~ high enough and the rest your ~~dirty~~ imagination would take care of.

But then I ran into another problem; bubbles. God, you don't want to know all the stuff I tried – which I'm telling you anyway (in no particular order): cotton, sheets, towels, a beret, rubber, and digital (I took far too much time on this and the results weren't even worth showing). At the end it was a weird mix of, well, I'll keep that mystery to myself. And still didn't work because. . .

The biggest problem, as a matter of fact, was, again, Harry. He just wouldn't co-operate. And probably not his own doing. But the thing is, this action figure would not sit in the tub. Yeah, he just wouldn't bend properly in position (and I should have seen this one coming after the fail at undressing him, really):

He looked very uncomfortable, I reckon because he never planned to take a soak, you know? Being dressed and all.

He can kneel though! (I don't know why I tried that, frankly.)

Which I'm sure it's OK.

But I was committed to this idea and I actually got this rubber duck for this so I had to do something! And finally, I realised Harry was smitten with Draco!Duck and that's the story I should "tell".

And here are the results:

I love that your filthy mind was thwarted by (I'm guessing) the far FILTHIER minds that constructed that doll so that you couldn't take his clothes off! Because I mean really! OMG. I tried, honest to God, tried to read this MASTERPIECE with the severity and respect it is due. I lost it when DRESSED HARRY was in the tub with mystery bubbles, all ~HALP! HALP! HALP~. Built-in uniforms, irremovable wands, Harry kneeling before the tub ~~strange wizarding ritual~~, WITCH WEEKLY SPREAD on the dark walls of one of the basement bathrooms of Grimmauld Place. OMG. OMG. *breathes* :)

Okay, this is fucking awesome, and probably the fact that Harry wasn't really co-operative (just like in fic RL!) makes it all the better :D

I think Harry actually was ashamed by his arousal for the rubber duck and therefore deliberately counteracted your efforts to get him into his luxurious bath.

I also love his little custom-made bath, and the poster in the background (oh Harry little narcissistic shit, wanking all over the poster showing what a hero you are), and I think the kneeling position only shows the titan battle between you and him, where you finally got him on his knees :D Well done, you <3

You may not have told the story you originally meant to, but the story you ended up telling was hilarious. *snorts* I love all of the ways the doll thwarted you by clearly being designed for very different purposes. Although I am not sure what purpose the designers had in mind if he can kneel but not get naked. WTF?

This is THE BEST THING. Of COURSE you would think to make a photoshop illustration for Rubber Duck with toy models for Harry and Draco. OF COURSE. Why did I not know I'd been wanting this my whole life? *undignified cackling*

I was dying just at Harry's hopeful face in the first picture. Little does he know what's about to come, eh? And Draco - BWAHAHAAAA! Look at his pouty little mouth! My word. He's a cutie-pie. What-- is he GLOWING? Does his mouth glow when he speaks? My god, he's amazing! And so teeny, where did you ever find such a teeny duck?

Then the bath - LOLOLOL! Harry baths next to a poster of himself? Well, wouldn't you, if you were the Chosen One? And all of the trophies, and the candles just like in the fic! My god, it looks so good, *I* want to get in! I bet Harry can't wait to hop-- Oh. A problem. Who sews clothes on, fgs! OMG, Harry in the bath. OMG. He looks like he might be arching his back orgasmically? Well, come on, he does. He looks pretty good kneeling, though. He looks like he was born to it. All you have to do is find a fic of mine - any fic - where Harry ends up on his knees (like THAT would be hard, heh) and you're sorted. ;)

But, my word, you saved it all! Harry is in love with duck!Draco (how could he not be) and Draco actually fits onto Harry's hand. \o/ That is so bloody cute! The hearts! Harry's face! HEHEHEHE! It's the tender love story between a man and a duck! And people sometimes think that this story is a bit ridiculous, but now, NOW, it can finally be taken seriously. No-one is going to laugh at it ever again. You've shown the world that Harry is not going to take this sitting down! (*snigger*) He's not ashamed of his love for duck!Draco. It's a beautiful and touching thing and you're some kind of genius for making this for us. ♥ ♥

Capitu is my kinda crazy, pair her with Birds and you get talking toasters. So anything that remotely involves these two is going to be gold.
