*something clever goes here*

Is it too soon for me to talk you some more about [livejournal.com profile] hd_erised again and how the sign ups open on August 1st?

Yeah? Well, okay.

I'll just talk to you about mirrors and how they freak me out.

I always clean the mirrors as fast as I can because I'm afraid the mirror is going to look at me. You know, like "Yeah, I'm not just a reflexion, I'm LOOKING at you." Mirrors are freaky.

But you know what's not freaky? The Mirror of Erised. :D But I said I wouldn't mention [livejournal.com profile] hd_erised again (and how the sign ups open August 1st).

But I will remind you that claliming is open at [livejournal.com profile] hp_crossgenfest. :D

come join [livejournal.com profile] hp_crossgenfest!

LOL, love the title. Honestly trying to come up with a subject line is the hardest part of a post.

But yay for [livejournal.com profile] hd_erised and [livejournal.com profile] hp_crossgenfest!!

I saw that add too! I may have to watch it since Colby Keller is in it.

Mirrors are awesome as far as fodder for my horror imagination. XD I don't think I'll be signing up for erised because my muse isn't functioning on demand atm, but I'm looking forward to seeing who does sign up for it.

Yay, I'm excited for Erised! ♥

Now I want to see Gay of Thrones! :D

Mirrors (or any reflection) are creepy! They steal your soul, you know? At least that's what my grandmother would say.

And even though I don't believe it, this photo is real.

Image

The official explanation is the boy blinked when the picture was taken, but as you can see his reflection does not show any closed eyes. Basically, it’s because this particular digital camera scans and records images from left to right.

Yay for [livejournal.com profile] hd_erised!! Soooo excited for soooo many reasons.

And Yay for signups on August 1...although boo that I'll already be at work *sobs like a baby and plans*

I'm not fond of mirrors, but more because I look in them and go "who is that old woman?" :P

*adores*

Oh and your subject line is the best!!! ♥

MIRRORS? Wtf are you all on about? The only spooky thing about mirrors is how freaking atrocious I look when I wake up in the morning. And, most of the rest of the day, but we'll gloss over that ;-D

I'll tell you what's scary. DOLLS. DOLLS WITH EMPTY EYE SOCKETS. OR DOLLS WITH NOT EMPTY EYE SOCKETS. Creepy and horrifying. OK, imagine if you looked in the mirror and A DOLL WITH EMPTY EYE SOCKETS WAS LOOKING BACK AT YOU?

I am deeply excited for both Erised and CrossGen!

Yay, I'm so excited about Erised! That fest was going when I joined this winter and it's the first one I followed and it was sooo good! I'm sure this year will be just as awesome :D I want to join at crossgen too if I find a prompt that fits, but they're all so kinky so far:P That promises good stuff for the fest, though!

What is Gay of Thrones? In a bit behind on things obviously. Sounds fun LOLOL!

For all who want to have a closer look on GAY OF THROWNS, here is a link:

hd_erised is very tempting, but I'm so afraid of disappointing the one I would be writing for. Or, worse, not being able to come up with an idea at all. And, more worse, having everyone thinking: God, awful, why didn't she leave the spot for someone else who knows what he's doing?

I like the way mirrors have been inspiring authors until today. Think of the talking mirror in Snowwhite... They can be used for so many (magical) tasks one otherwise would need muggle devices for.

And yes, terrible things can live inside / on the other side of them. Like the ever darkening shadows under my eyes or the three or four grey hairs that always seem to stuck up like a cockatoo's head-feathers.

Btw: Isn't that one of the great miracles of life? Why do grey hairs have so much more energy than their coloured colleagues?
