Here via your lovely comment on my Draco/Al yesterday. ♥ I’ve been more or less out of HP fandom since I fell down the rabbit hole of hockey a year ago, but there are so many fics here that I’m excited to read, and new (to me) authors to follow.
Fandom: Harry Potter Pairing (s): H/D and AS/S Most Popular: By AO3 count, Carrying You Over (http://archiveofourown.org/works/327742), which is mostly AS/S but with some detectable H/D flirting. Warnings: none Personal Favourite: Although the long scene with the Sidhe in Carrying You Over (http://archiveofourown.org/works/327742) is, I think, my best writing, my favorite is an H/D one-shot that got very little attention: the taste of maybe (http://archiveofourown.org/works/269141). I wrote it for a Slythindor100 challenge, and I loved looking at how Draco and Harry might have changed in the 15 or so years since the war, and the hints of backstory. Pairing (s): Harry/Draco Warnings: none
I’ve succeeded in luring some of my HP f-list to hockey RPF fandom, and I’m ever optimistic, so I’m going to include these as well:
Fandom: Hockey RPF Pairing (s): Patrick Kane/Jonathan Toews (Chicago Blackhawks) Most Popular: My daemon AU series (‘daemon’ in the Philip Pullman HDM sense), in 3 parts, has by far the most hits. The main fic, singly, the walls kept tumbling down (in the city that we loved) (http://archiveofourown.org/works/898559), is closing in quickly on the fic with the current highest hit count—a Regency AU—and has more kudos and bookmarks than it. I don’t think the daemon AU is the best fic for non-hockey-readers to start with because aside from the daemons it’s set in a very canon NHL ‘verse. Warnings: none Personal Favourite: The Regency AU I wrote for last year’s Hockey BigBang, Prise de Fer (http://archiveofourown.org/works/613290). Some of my f-list with zero interest in or knowledge of hockey really enjoyed it. Mostly it’s my favorite because it contains so many RL character quirks and references and in-jokes, so in a way it’s the most fannish thing I’ve ever made. But I’ve been told it works perfectly as a Georgette Heyer-style Regency romance without any of that knowledge. Pairing (s): Patrick Kane/Jonathan Toews (Chicago Blackhawks) Warnings: none
As usual, I’ve blathered on too much! But thank you for hosting this!
